Those wishing to tent camp, especially those with children, might want to camp in the park-like 6 Acre campground. Those wishing quiet and privacy might prefer the South Meadow. Camping is "first come, first served" so expect to select your camp site once you arrive.
In the middle of 6 Acre is a picnic area as well as a play area for children. Anyone visiting Train Mountain is welcome to use this area with or without children. It is not just for the 6 Acre Campers.
My husband, Bill, and I were camp hosts in 2009. I will do my best to answer questions based on what I learn from the committee and what we experienced in 2009.
