6 Acre campground, in addition to tent (only) camping sites, has a nice common area and everybody who visits TM is invited to enjoy the shade and the play area for the children.
There are two hydrants from which you can get water and porta potties which are serviced daily. Other than that, the campground has no power, nor is there access to showers or cooking facilities. There are alternatives which will be discussed later, however.
If you are riding the rails, someone in your group needs to provide a hand held radio (see thread on safety). Anyone staying in 6 Acre who needs to charge a radio can do so at the camp hosts' tent (set up outside of and next to the entrance to the 6 Acre campground).
