I see that so far 55 electric engines have registered...

Where will all the electric engines be able to plug in to recharge their batteries?
We have several areas with electrical access, and are working on more places due to the large increase in electrical locomotives coming.

I would highly recommend those bringing electrical locomotives also bring a long extension cord.

Obviously, the consists will not be able to park in the charging areas with their associated locomotive. The consists will not be far away, but will have to be separated for charging.
Part of your registration was the form that listed what equipment and type you were bringing to the event. Once received your information sheet was forwarded to Dean Willoughby the Triennial Track Assignment chairman. He started with a detailed spreadsheet listing all the parking places for steamers, diesels and those requireing plug-ins. As he receives the forms he does the track assignment. He has notified the Committee that he is quickly running out of plug in spots. The Committee is aware of the problem and is working on finding additional spots that have not been used in the past but have possible power capabilites. We will make every effort to insure the battery folks have a place to plug in and get their trains ready for the next run. There may have to be some shared spots but we will work to keep those to a minimum if at all possible. Thanks for your inquiry.
