Verizon has the best coverage, with one cell tower approximately one mile south of Central Station and another tower at the north end on Steiger Butte which is the highest point on TM property. I have not found any point on TM property where Verizon phones do not work.
A buidget option that accesses the Verizon network is the Straight Talk system. These phones are available at Walmart, but you must make sure that the phone you chose is one that is a Verizon Straight Talk phone.
Other providers have limited coverage with a lot of dead spots, like ATT. Several have no coverage at all, like T-Mobile, Sprint, and others that I have not checked.
If you go on the websites for a particular cell provider, most have a place to type in the zip code to see if they provide coverage. The Zip for TM is 97624.

I can confirm that in 2009 the AT&T coverage was pretty terrible. It worked OK at the top, and pretty much not at all down at the South Meadow. It was also EDGE-only (the slowest network type for data)
It is good to hear that Verizon has great coverage, that is what I use now. Verizon is all-3G and now 4G in places.
